Artwork checklist before you send files to print
Bleed, dielines, colour mode, fonts and barcodes — the eight checks that prevent a reprint.
The eight checks
- Artwork built on our supplied dieline, on its own layer
- 3 mm bleed on all sides, critical text 5 mm inside the trim
- CMYK colour mode, with spot/Pantone colours named correctly
- Fonts converted to outlines or packaged with the file
- Images at 300 DPI at final print size
- Barcode at minimum 80% magnification with quiet zone intact
- Statutory declarations, net weight and FSSAI/licence marks placed
- A flattened PDF proof alongside the working file
Why the dieline matters most
Most reprints we see are not colour problems — they are artwork built to the wrong dieline. Seal areas, gusset folds and tuck flaps distort artwork if the design ignores them. Always design on the dieline we issue for your exact size and format.
